JUNE HATCH-A-LONG come join in

100 egg incubator...OMG..hmmmm how many chickens could I get from that?? I would love to have a lg. cabinet one, but I know I would get carried away. I have the syrofoam Hova Bator with fan and turner and I can't seem to control myself. Once I got the hang of it...thanks to the help from here..I can not stop...tell me this will stop..

Ok guys...my turn. Yesterday evening I came home to 1 little one pipping out the shell..before I went to bed around 10 it was out and walking around inside the incubator..I woke up this morning and I had a total of 3....I went to work and came home this evening and I have what looks like maybe 10..I was told not to open the incubator yet for fear of shrink wrapping the others..I will go to bed and see what I have in the morning....

I have 2 styrofoam incubators one with fan and turner one without.
I have 2 old Galvanized 100 egg Brower incubators, only one holds temp correctly......so I use it as a hatcher, when I have filled the 2 styrofoams to capacity~!

as for stopping, I have decided that until I I can see how many are going to hatch from the next few hatches
Due the 4th (12)
the 9th (3), and the 10th (31). That I should not set/hold anymore....

I have a lady interested in buying some chicks, though she will not say for sure how many, what breed or when......lol
So I think for now, that my hatching will end on July 10th ......(at least for a week or two)

Then I will think about ordering different breeds than what I have.

Ok, here are 2 new hatchlings. I had to help the 2nd one last night, but it was finally out! Its stomach area was HUGE.

Congrats everyone! Your chicks look great! Glad to see the reports & pics still coming in.

BriteChicken, Noncentzter, clothdiaperingmom: Good job on your hatches. Lovely pics!

saridout: Enjoyed the broody hatch!

D'Angelo N Va.: Is dreaming of a 100 egg incubator now! Happy to see you did so well with your hatches. Cool!

PandoraTaylor: You've always got something interesting going on in you bators. Will be watching for you again after your July 10th hatch.

Thanks everyone for sharing your hatches & for the lovely chicks. Anyone who loves little chickies, like me, enjoys the pics & feels like you could just reach out & hold them; the pictures are so vivid & real looking.

Isn't the BYC just great. I feel very luck to have found it & have learned & shared so much with others. What I've learned over time on the BYC & with the easy search button, continues to be a great help in improving & maintaining the care of my flock.

Since it's July now, check out the thread 'JULY HATCH-A-LONG come join in' https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=362278&p=1 . Then there'll be one every month after that for the rest of the year. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Yayyy...I got 12 little incubated Partridge Cochins. They are the cutest little things..and so gentle. Now I have cleaned out the incubator with bleach and detg. and have it outside drying in the sun..then I am sure I will be on the July hatch a long as well LOL
