Juno meet the chickens

Is Juno really mean? Hyper dogs are not always mean, just confused as to who is pack leader. If you introduce a hyper/excited Juno to your chicks it will be bad, no doubt. If Juno knows you are the pack leader and your wishes(getting along) Juno will do as you wish. Shepards are very good dogs, but they need a strong leader. I would not do anthing that might hurt the chicks, maybe contact a local dog trainer. I hope all goes well for you and Juno. good luck!

Juno is mean and hyper too. She's almost 2 so I keep working with her every day. She has to wait for the "ok" on food, going outside ect. We've worked with a trainer and she has made alot of progress but she is so stubborn and sassy!!! Hopefully she'll get better over time. My chickens are outside of our underground dog fence so she can't get to them. I've been converting an old outhouse to the new coop, which will be finished this weekend. It is inside the dog fence. I lost my first chickens to coons back in May. My husband told me a mink ran up to the pen last week, so I thought by moving the chicken to the new coop my dog could keep these critters at bay. I know animals won't come in the yard when she's around. I just don't want her scaring my new chickens to death.
