Wow! I haven't been here for a while but wanted to say thanks to all replies. You all have made me feel good. I was worried. You guys are right. I have been offered more chickies already!

We started out with 6 hens...then joined BYC...now we have 49 chicks in the brooder! It's contagious, so watch out!

well you will find we do a lot of other things here as well as the chooks. Do you crochet? knit? want to make your own soap? Like to cook. Join a workout thread? Need to vent about your neighbors? Make your own Vanilla. Planning a birthday party and need ideas. We can help with all of that and more, so grab a coffee or a cup of tea and set a spell.

I started out last year with 3 chicks, but quickly added just one more. I have stayed with my little flock of 4, but it has taken EXTREME WILLPOWER. These crazy people here will make you want more, and more, and more. I survived a trip to the feed store today, and there were "chick days" signs all over the place. I glanced into the peeping water troughs, and hurried by, telling myself to be strong.

Keeping a small flock is like sticking to a diet...almost impossible.

Enjoy your stay. This is a great place!
