My babes 4 days old. Watched a youtube video for all information on brooder and everything. This is a gaylord watermelon box. at 10 days old they were flying up. Now 3 weeks they aren't using the brooder lamp (but I am keeping the room warm). Tomorrow they will be 3 weeks old and there they are flying up to the top as soon as I open it up. I enjoy the heck out of them. They come to my call for treats. I have 2 Barred Rock - 2 silver laced Wyanndottes and 3 Australorps. 61012397466__68F1CD21-55BA-45D1-8BEB-593B11289C24.JPG Rq6jb3%+RlWjas16DHuaeg.jpg

I know they were doing what 4 week old chickens were doing at under 2 weeks old. They aren't using the brooder now either. I think the room is warm enough obviously . I'm just learning but I have a theory that keeping them warm is a key to helping them grow healthy quickly.
