This is my 1 yr old Black Austrolorp rooster Houdini. He is a MAGNIFICENT Chicken! He really "Rules the Roost"over his girls-4 one yr old hens.He dances for them,finds and shares teats while free ranging with them,then "jumps"them at will.He is the KING of our little farm!He is not aggressive toward us at all,comes running when we get home,followed by his little harem.He seems so proud of himself.LOVES to "pose" for the camera!

They are such pretty boys! I have an australorp roo also and he's just gorgeous - wish he were as sweet as your guy though - he comes running to me but only with 'kill the human' in his head unfortunately.

I have an Australorp rooster too. He's a great rooster to his hens and good with his humans as well. All his eggs hatch so far! His name is Dudley! Welcome to BYC! I'm not a new newbie, but still can't figure out how to post pics. When my dd gets home from out of state, I'll hit her up to teach me.
