Just a phase?

Gus and Lucy are still growing like weeds. Recently Lucy started this aggressive honking towards my mom. When ever my mom gets within sight of the pen or Lucy can hear her voice she goes crazy. She also does this when she hears the neighbors over the fence talking. For now it's ok but I worry if it gets any worse the neighbors may start to get tired of it and complain. Is this just a phase until she gets used to her surroundings more or is there anyway to correct this?

Hard telling. My geese are not that loud. They alert us when someone comes in the drive. Boris my gander is the vocal one. He makes the most noise.

My goodness have they grown, I'm wondering if it's a phase not too sure on mom though especially if she is use to seeing your mom, maybe mom needs to be treat giver for a while and see if that makes any difference, plus mom comes over and ya'll sit outside for a while letting Lucy come around then mom gives out treats. Just some ideas. And you might try a water pistol or hose when she gets carried away just make it fast and surprise, with a strong Quiet or something you feel would work . My geese honk when the dogs bark and sometimes they just have to have an opinion about nothing in general, but for the most part are pretty quiet. But we don't have neighbors either, sometimes a gift of fresh eggs will appease them.

I took over a dozen eggs a couple of days ago. They are really good neighbors and I don't think they would ever say anything I just don't want to be "that" neighbor. It's kind of funny watching Lucy and my mom interact. I was sitting in the backyard with my mom and Lucy comes waddling over to where we were sitting my mom starts to say something and Lucy interrupts her. She goes to finish what she was saying and is immediately interrupted again.She tried a couple more times and finally just gave up trying to talk all together.

Maybe the decibel of her voice, just a guess though. Sounds like your mom couldn't get a word in edgewise
