Hi everyone,
First, I've posted a few photos of my girls after having them a full week. They seem to be very happy and healthy and looks like a little bit of personality is coming out. Two of them have predominant tail feathers coming out and each day they're getting bigger and better
I don't like to have favs, but I think my Savanna is mine haha. She's the curious one looking at the camera! Think I've got fliers for sure though...kind of funny. They all hop on my hand and eat from it and then climb up and around my arm...although I make sure no one can get above the brooder!!
I'm curious about something and was reading several articles on here on raising them (separated) with older chickens. The next batches of chickies comes in the end of June, and I'm looking to add to the flock. Since it will be warm, and the fact that my coop will be big enough, I'm considering making a brooding area with the heat lamp inside there. Of course they'll be protected from the older girls, is this a good idea to do?
