What do you do with the chicks you hatch? Do you keep them all, sell them, eat them etc. If you sell them how much do you sell them for. I see people hatching 40+ eggs I'm just curious. :)

I keep most of mine. I am willing to sell, especially to people who don't want to brood. I have offerend $6.00 per 3 week old chick. I've never sold a day old hatch. But then again, I do run 200-300 hens at a time, so hatching several trays is not a big deal for me.

And we eat the roos, cause I don't need double digits of roosters running around.

I sell most of my chicks. We hatch quite a bit around here also. They range from $3 each and up from there. I sell 4-5 week old chicks off heat for $6+. We grow up our stock in the spring that we will keep and we either sell the roosters or eat them. Just depends on if we have room in our freezer. It is a addictive thing to start though!
