just a question

could someone define "hatching eggs" for me i looked it up in the index here and it wasnt listed. does it mean, if i buy some i have to have an incubator still or are the right at the day they are suppose to hatch? thanks.

You have to buy an incubator and incubate usually for at least 21 days....

Yeah, hatching eggs really just means fertile eggs that you intend to get chicks from, as opposed to either fertilised or non-fertilised eating eggs. But you can eat fertilised eggs too - there's no difference in appearance or taste. But if you have chickens and you're collecting the eggs just for eating, you're usually less careful with handling and storing them etc than you would be if you were collecting them with the intention of using them as hatching eggs.

If you buy hatching eggs you'll have to set them for about 21 days, either in an incubator or under a broody hen.
Fertilised eggs don't start developing till you warm them up.
