Just a quick question!

Our girl has hatched her first baby this morning (what a cutie!) with two more eggs still to hatch. Mum is sat on the eggs and shielding her baby at the same time aaw!

Mum not eaten or drunk since yesterday - should I take her out to feed? And will baby be warm enough without her for a few minutes????

Leave the mum alone, she'll be find for a couple of day... BUT if you could secure feed and water in front of her where the chicks couldn't drown, that would be nice for her.

Yes thanks for that. Just come in from checking on mum and I placed corn in front of her and she went mad for it!! She's still sat on eggs and looking after baby but was happy to feed as well. Have placed water in too but put stones in just in case baby falls in.
