I'll be honest, there is less stress with fewer chickens. I love all 40 something of mine but I wouldn't have so may if it weren't for these darn broody hens. I miss the days of being able to hand out a few treats without getting trampled. And even though mine have plenty of room and free range time, there is always a bully or two causing trouble.
