Just added to my flock

I just got back from picking up 40 6 month old quail to help me curb my lack of hens

The gentleman I was buying from was getting out of japanese quail so I took the roos as well as the hens.

I put them in the large communal pen when I got home so they could get food water etc and started sorting out more of the roo's.....

As I left it looks like a huge battle royal going on!

all jumbo's!!! I figured I'd wait till they have settled down a bit before I take pictures. The little guy with the glock has me scared.

Unfortunately I think it was 50/50, but I had zero hens by the way everyone was acting from the last hatch. I started pulling out all the crowers out of the big pen and put them in er...... isolation for a bbq on sunday
