A hot wire will deter a coon only for a while. He will figure a way around, over, or under it eventually. You best bet best is to make sure any points of access are securely covered with hardware cloth and either screwed down with washers or nailed with a batten board. I would advise against just using a staple gun & staples. Coons are extremely strong. The little bit of extra work is good insurance.

Your coop is fantastic! I used that exact same vinyl in my coop. Your's looks a little fancier than mine though. Nicely done!

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, we're almost home on the coop.
Here's how we handle the pop-door. I wanted a way to secure it from the raccoons. The first rope you pull lifts the hinged 2X4 and the 2nd rope lifts the door. When you drop both the weight of the horizontal 2X4 keeps the prop secure against the sliding pop-door. Simple but it works.
