I just received (2) I was told broad breasted whites, they are about 4 to 6 weeks old I was told. I'm new with turkeys and needing advice with they. They both arrived with a deformed leg. It is like the knee is turned in and one is using the knee down to the toes as a food. What can I do. I called the feed store and they only told me to limit there feed and to but vitamins and electrolytes in the water.

I have them on a e-mail to my computer but don't know how to get them onto a post. My husband will be home tonight and I will get them posted

OK. In the meantime, try to save the images to your hard drive - pictures folder or similar. After that, go to uploads at the top of your BYC page, browse to find each image on your pc then copy and paste as directed. Otherwise, tomorrow.

That's clearly not right. The size looks OK for the age but they are either weak or deformed in the leg. It could be either dietary or hereditary but that's just a novice's guess. Some expert advice will follow, I'm sure, but I suggest that you call the supplier today. They must have known about this before they shipped the birds.

Poor little devils.

Did you contact the supplier yet? The pics. speak for themselves so you could, perhaps, email them to make you point.

If you don't get a satisfactory explanation and full refund, perhaps you should post details of the supplier here as a warning to other potential customers. The birds are clearly in difficulties and he should have seen that before sending them to you.

The next think will be to decide what to do with the chicks. If the supplier doesn't want them back then they might have to be destroyed. We need an expert to join the thread to advise you.
