Just arrived

Just joined BYC today. I've been a gardener for years, but just picked up some chicks a couple weeks ago. We are midwesterners living in East Tennessee. Coop and run are all set, and I have a Rhode Island Red, a Blue Plymouth Rock, a Light Brahma, and a Black Jersey Giant, all from TSC. Looking forward to the eggs, the manure compost, and maybe some chicken meat (yikes)?

Hatchery birds sometimes do not get as big as birds from a breeder! We have one BJG hen that weighs 8lbs and 4 LB hens that are just under that! A bigger door size won`t hurt anything anyway!
