Amanda, Bec's sister, also keeping me waiting:

I have three sisters I call the Poufy-Head Sisters-their sire was a standard Cochin/Silkie cross and their mothers were Barred Rocks. They are personality-plus! Here are two of them, Kate, then Tux:

Thanks, all. Jessie, I do have a list of spring customers for Blue Orpington eggs. If you want to be on that, just email me your info, name, address, if you want only pures or crosses, etc. I only have the two pullets right now, so I can't gather too many during a one week period before mailing, unless someone also wants the Blue Orp/Brahma crosses. I'd love to see those. A young man on here (herechickchick) is beginning an incubation of those today, so hopefully, with this cooler weather during the transport of these eggs, he'll have a good hatch and we can all see what that combination will be. A genetics person told me I'd probably get blue birds with feathered legs, perhaps with gold or silver in the hackle area. Should be interesting. And I do plan to hatch some of my own, either in the spring or if I get a broody.
