Just bought my 1st ever turkeys!

Hey everyone! I am a chicken pro now--haha

So we started our new adventure with turkeys. We bought a Bronze Tom and 2 hens today! Also got 4 turkey chicks too, but they are in a brooder. Wish me luck! Off to start reading up on my new friends!!!

Congrats! First tid bit of information to help you towards Turkey Expert status: the babies are poults, not chicks. Unfortunately, when you refer to them as such in real life around people who do not know this they will look at you like you have three heads and promptly begin referring to your baby turkeys as pullets. Because everyone knows that word has something to do with poultry, they're just not sure what.
