So I called to a few of the TSC to see when the next batches would be in and I was lucky that one, 45 min away, had the Australorps !
I ran down, he said they were 4 days old but they were super tiny. I got 6, in case some didn't make it.
2 didn't make it, the 2nd one I put in the brooder in the video did a little spasm after I dipped her beak in the water and was dead 2 hours later :hit I knew when they put her in the carry box that she looked a bit iffy :( I am not sure which one was the other that didn't make it.
TSC made it right, I called and they said bring them down and they will swap them.

I did a video of dipping their beaks water/food and where the heater is. All, including the 2 new ones are sleeping for the night under the brooder.
Now to name them all :)

Poor babies :( That's nice of tractor supply to try and make it right but I'm wondering if good idea to get more if there were issues with the first bunch? Just my two cents.

You will love Australorps. I have a 6 month old named Raven. She's one of my sweetest hens and lays almost daily.

It turns out when I went back he said that they came in yesterday. A saturday shipment makes me worry a little. I am sure it was just the stress.

I have been waiting a Long time to get Australorps !

3 more died last night and 1 is looking a bit low 😢
I'm wondering if the 45 min drive was just too much after just coming in the day before.
2 were active this morning at 5am when I woke them on my way out to work. Not sure they were the 2 replacements.
So sad and everything seemed fine, water, food, drive home was a super warm car to make sure they didn't get chilled.
I won't be getting replacements just refund and will buy on the 17th at the other feed store I bought from years ago.

Now that I look at the video again, they all have droopy wings a bit. The 2 replacements didn't seem to have that that I remember. I'll be going home at lunch to check again.
