just built me a new incubator for quail

TED FOR USING THE ELEMENT JUST CONNECT THE 2 WIRES FROM IT EXACTLY LIKE YOU DID YOUR LIGHT HEAT SOURCE AND YOU SHOULD BE GOOD

Just did it. With the thermostat I'm using I am getting about 1.5 degrees fluctuation. It was about 10 degrees until I moved it in front of the coil. Still to darn big. I think I will get me a 1588 for small hatches.

I used a heating element out of a old dehydrater i dont know the wattage of it but it seems to do the job.. my bator is made out of a mini fridge..

REMEMBER FAN POINTING DOWNWARD, OTHERWISE YOU'LL GET THERMAL LAYERING AND POOR RESULTS

Even with the false back? It is 2 inches off the floor.

I may just put a small computer fan in pointing down. The other points straight to the front and I would have to tear it half way down.

You can buy incubator fans off Ebay, I got a "incubator warehouse" fan that had the connectors on it already, simple as putting in a screw, connecting two connectors and it was done

I have a incubator warehouse fan mounted at the very back with smail holes drilled to the outside directly behind the fan it blows straight foward over the heat source and down the front i have a small 3 inch desk fan from walmarts at the bottom blowing across the water pan with a heat element under it.. it lets the air rotate all the way around so i have good temp at the top and the bottom
