Hah! I built mine from $14 eBay plans and $120 in materials in a long weekend. It was a lot of fun and I have $766 left over for chicken feed

This guy is odd. I just bought some chicks from him. He told me he had certain breeds in stock... then after driving 2 hours to get there, I found out he had compelety different ones. The chicks he had were all in terrible shape. The barred rocks had 2 dead birds in the cage, and almost if not dead. They all were starving and dehydrated. There water was empty and full of poop. the feeders empty. He also told me some Drat! about a New York law that you have to buy 6. Not sure how true that is. I ended up dealing with his daughter, who was a very nice young lady. I bought 5 of his birds, and felt like I rescued them from certain death.

He does build coops as there were several in his front yard in the process of being built.
