Actually my poor 1st graders don't even know it yet since I had to start the eggs over spring break due to my turkey egg's schedule
I received some Maran eggs and two "bonus" eggs from a fellow BYCer.
She had given me a total of 15 eggs I think. Out of her eggs, I only had to pitch one today since it had a considerable crack and from what I could tell wasn't developing. I'm pretty sure all of her eggs are going fine, although its pretty hard to see in the really dark ones, but I'm pretty sure I could see some veining.
Here's the surprise though, I set about 15 of my own eggs (after only getting a rooster about a week before) and most of mine are developing as well!
Also my 4 BR turkey eggs are doing great! I started with 5 and lost one within its first week (found a blood ring). Since I was already candling I decided to candle my other bator of BR eggs and those 4 are doing great too! They go into lockdown on this Wednesday!!!!
I just can't believe how well its going.... but I know: don't count your chickens before they're hatched
