Just curious about pullets not laying..

So I have 3 original pullets that would lay everyday give or take 1 day off a week if that, then I got 5 more chickens 1 Welsummer and 4 buff's and they just started laying but not really everyday, then I got 5 more pullets which 3 are suppose to be laying and 2 austrolops that are to start anytime now.

They have already did there pecking order and now I can't really keep track of who's laying since the eggs are so similar. 1 of the new ones a white barred rock layed the first day I brought her home she layed couple days after too now I haven't seen her lay and it's been like 2-3 weeks and I feel like all of my birds are not laying like they should. Am I crazy or is something wrong.

Not even my rooster is mating like he use too with them I've only see him bother the same pullet but today I finally seen him get my Welsummer and that's it before he would get all of them and like multiple times throughout the day. Is 2-6 eggs normal for 11 that should be laying. Sometimes I'll get 7 and 1 time I got 8 but that's it.

I don't know what your weather is like right now but sometimes when it gets really hot and humid here in Ohio my birds almost stop laying. Usually doesn't last too long. Just a thought.

Time to moult?
Something new in the environment?
Rodent or snake in the coop?
Feed quaility problem?
Water quality problem?
Sick?
Defintly something if the rooster has also given up trying to mate. It's just a matter of which answer is yes.

My 6 girls just started laying 3 weeks ago. I have been getting 5 eggs a day and the last 2 days 4 and then three. Is this normal with new layers??

Also i recently added a fan to keep them cooler. Could the new object in their coop scare them and cause them not to lay?

Yes. They will egg between 14 and 96 hours for thier first dozen or so before they settle into thier normal laying routine.

I don't know what your weather is like right now but sometimes when it gets really hot and humid here in Ohio my birds almost stop laying. Usually doesn't last too long. Just a thought.

Yes it's very hot I'm in east Texas so the weather has been around 100 give or take I have a fan in the coop and I think that helps them cuz since I put it in there not to much in the run.

I would say it's hot but it kind of started when I got the other new chickens.
I'm not sure on the moult thing but my original 3 will be a year old this month or are already but they are still laying from what I can tell. Like I said all there eggs look the same now so it's hard to tell.

I haven't seen any snakes now that we put up a black hoses around the coop.
The feed is the same and there eating the crap out of that I have noticed.
I make sure there's always water cuz it's so hot outside.

None of them look sick that I can't tell poop looks same lately I've seen some yellow runny spongy poop.

My when they first started laying I never had a problem they always laid everyday give or take 1 day off but the new ones I can't really tell cuz I have 4 of the same chicken and I knew 3 of them were laying but can't tell you who cuz they all look the same in about to put a marking on them but then I would have to watch them to see who it is..

Adding all the new chickens causes stress, which can affect laying....and you could have brought a disease/pests in with them.

100f - that's your problem. Anything much over 90 and most chooks stop laying. At those temps the eggs will incubate by themselves in a nest, which is bad, so the bodies stop making eggs. Your production will pick up when it cools off. (Until molt time)
