Just curious - What do you do with your male chicks?

I am incubating some eggs to get pullets and I have mixed feelings about what to do with the male chicks. Is there a source that buys them? Last year I got a straight run of chicks and had to end up butchering 12 roosters when I could not even give them away
....so what do you do with yours (I don't mean to sound heartless, just practical)

I try to find homes for them, if not, my local feed store will take them to sell. I'm surprised you can't get rid of them even for free, you would think people would take them to eat. I have silkies and no one wants to eat them lol

Give them away to people that need them (to protect their flock, breeding, etc.)

Well, the consensus is to eat them -- but what about the cost to raise them vs. the meat you get? (mine are BCM)
And what age do you send them to freezer camp?
