Are there any plant enthusiasts that could answer a question for me?

Well, I bought a bamboo desk plant the other day, and the tag said to fertilize it every two to three months. What fertilizer can I use for a bamboo plant?

you can use the same fertilizer for the bamboo plant that is used for African Violets, just dilute it more. They have it at Walmart, Lowes, etc.

You can use a general purpose plant food, such as Miracle Grow.

ps: Not so pertinent to your situation, but just got a couple 50lb bags of rabbit droppings and was imagining using them to fertilize my watergarden ...
Hubby suggested just floating them in the pond so 'everybody' gets fertilized... snicker, snort, chortle, where is that stick I smack him with?
