In the Phoenix-Tucson area I'm getting $40 a pair for 5 month old RG and $60 a pair for 2 year adult breeders. My Lady Amherst go for $80 a pair for 5 month old birds and $100 for 2 year old breeders. I only sell in pairs sinse most folks want multiple hens and that leaves me with an excess of male birds.

It depends on the breeder and purity. There is a local guy who has good, pure stock and he sells for about $75 a pair. There are some that are of questionable origin that go for about $40 a pair. When I had extras in the past, I went sold them for $30 a pair just because I knew that they had some golden blood in them based on the small size and other giveaways as far as looks go. Those are all prices for first year birds. Never really seen any breeders for sale
