Hi guys.
Yesterday I went to the local farm supply store, and ended up walking out with their last gosling. A cute little white chinese. However, it seems he/she was the only gosling in there for some time, because it's been picked on. Eyes are watery from pecking, was a little dehydrated and underfed, but what I'm really concerned about is that it can't be more than 3 days old, and already has at least 6 developing bumbles. The scabs are light brown, not fully black, but do look very red and sore around the edges.
I'm really concerned. He's a friendly little guy, so I'm able to check out his feet, but I don't know what to -do- about this. He's far too small to undergo bumble surgery. He can't wear boots. So far I've just been feeding him as per normal and keeping him on soft bedding. Is there anything else I can do?
