Research away!

When I started, I wish I had know the following:
1) that there were so many great breeders in my area 2) that I didn't need to get 25+ chicks from a hatchery 3) that chickens are so resilient, not so hard to keep alive.

Welcome - we started the end of February with 8 pullets purchased from a local guy who advertised on craigslist. We are really enjoying our venture into chickens and we have been getting eggs for two weeks now....who knew chickens could be so much fun.

Check out our BYC page my DH did a fantastic job designing our little coop and so far the only thing I would change is for the roosts to be removeable. (long story but the first couple eggs were in the furthest corner under the nesting box...sigHHH)
