Just discovered that 2 eggs are twins.

Somebody on here has hatched twin chickens before...you can try to find her thread if you'd like. Both made it! It sounds like the smaller one is the one being 'crowded out'. The other one may absorb it or something. But hopefully both hatch and one will just be a runt!

Yes, I seem to remember a thread about this last year. Both chicks made it but they were tiny. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
Anxious to hear what happens...

Good luck to you. I had twins but only 1 survived, she was smaller when hatched but shes catching up quickly, only deformaty is a bent tail lol...

It's hatch day.

I have 12 eggs, including #4, in the bator. I have 3 that have hatched already, 3 more with pips.

And....no action yet from #4.

Still waiting......

The hatching came and went and #4 was still in the bator.

I did a float test, nothing. So I put it in a ziplock bag and opened it.

Just like the other one, this one seemed to be stuck to the membrane in two places.

It was a fully formed miniature embryo that grew for at least 20 days but only grew to about 1/4 of the size it should have.

What a strange little egg. I'm going to see if I can get pictures.
