Just made incubator with auto egg turner.Purchased kids wooden toy oven and hot dog Rotisserie from Trift Store $8 Temp sensor controller from Amazon $13 everthing else had laying around.Total cost under $25.Seems to work good ran for 24 hours it kept temp steady between 99.5°f and 101°f with humidity around 55%.Hotdog rotisserie turns eggs super slow and comes on whenever incubator lights and fan turn on.

:caf Watching to see how the rotisserie works. Brilliant. Have you tried it with a fake egg to see how fast it turns? Could you do so, and post results, perhaps a video of the egg as it turns. You could mark the egg so the revolution would be apparent.

Takes egg about 2 minutes to make complete revolution.Incubator only turns on for about 30 secs(egg makes 1/4 turn) at a time.It comes on every 2 1/2 minutes.I thought about putting turner on timer it actually has 110v plug but im not sure that turning more often is bad thing. The whole idea of turning eggs is to keep embryo in center of egg.If egg isnt turned chick develops deformed from laying on its side the whole time.

I can slow the amount egg is turned decreasing time incubator has to turn on . By using higher wattage bulbs.Im currently using 2 40watt bulbs if I switch to 60watt run time is only 15 secs which would equal egg only making 1/8 revolution.

You are probably right but i think what you are saying is caused by handling eggs and sudden motion of turning eggs to different position. In my case egg movement is gradual and consistent. That being said,I could be totally wrong.

My hens are sitting on my fake eggs right now.Its laying time on West Coast.I will post video in few hours.

Here is link to short video of egg turner. For some reason fake eggs turner faster the real eggs.
