You can't autosex a Golden Campine hen to a Splash Andy rooster can you? 4 eggs hatched, 2 have brown down there back and 2 have black backs. I didn't think so but then started wondering... I've tried calculators but they are so confusing and don't know if it says it does. And I've tried reading the posts on here but it's over my head :)

Was Andy an autocorrect of andalusian? I don't believe chicks from a splash rooster and a campine hen would be sex linked. Auto sexing is when sex linking passes from generation to generation, so they definitely wouldn't be autosexing since even if they were sex linked for the first generation, it wouldn't pass down to the offspring of the first generation of sex linked birds :)

Yes, Andalusian. Ok, so sex linked and not autosexing? I'm so confused. lol No matter how many times I read the difference between the 2, it is still the same to me. lol

Ok, I think maybe, possibly I understand :lau I wondered about it because the calculators all say just blue but with 2 of them, just happen to be the 2 I think are boys, even at a day old lol, they have brown and the other 2 don't.

It's all good. I didn't think it did, just thought the coloring was strange. :) thanks
