Just For Curiosity Sake! What do you do?

Thank God tax season is almost over. I hate it when people call and say "What is my cost basis for that stock I bought 20 years ago?" We keep records for 10 years by law. People just don't understand that they have to be responsible for their records sometimes. Some really stupid people want me to tell them what they paid for a stock that they bought from another brokerage. And we are always telling tax accountants that we cannot release customer info to them without the customer's written authorization. Of course, all of the really stupid people wait to the last minute and don't have any of their records. OK, I'm done venting

OMG I hear you! I don't do any trading, that's DH's hobby! He's pretty smart and even with this downturn he's got us in a good spot.

The horrors of last minute tax clients with no info!

And they want their tax return yesterday like they are your only client!

I am in excavating/ landscape and grading business, most of my work done in good weather, but I also move snow in winter and do all kinds of odd jobs, building decks, fixing roofs, and I fix a whole a lot of small engins and electric power tools.

I am a banker that grew up on a farm and wish I was still 15 and working the farm again. The bank is a great place to sell eggs but it is not much fun being a banker these days. My 70 plus chickens and 2 ducks are my stress relief.

I am 41 and I build bird houses. Yep thats it. The occasional garden bench, or garden planter. I build about once or twice a week. Advertise on craigslist. Just taking it easy. Its about to get hard though. I just about have my single bottom plow ready to plow up the back three acres. Its nice to not have car notes, house notes, credit card debt, etc etc etc. I aint rich by God but I can go where I want, buy what I want ( Thank God I dont want much), put the boats in the water when I want, etc etc.

i used tell people i'm either retired or a slacker - depending on the day. but then i took a look around at all the poultry, dairy goats, and pigs and i finally had to fess up and say that i farm. thats me - farmer.

I work at Wal~Mart in the Lawn&Garden department to make a living for all my animals.

Then I go home to the job I like best, taking care of all the animals I have collected (read my sig line) and the ones that I am baby sitting (daughter's cat and dog, son's cat and fish, boyfriend's dog).

I also keep all the neighborhood's dogs at bay. I have become known as the mean woman that b*****s about dogs coming around all the time. The dog warden knows me very well.
