Just for fun- Which breed of yours lays the "prettiest" eggs?

Goodness, MM, my sweet EEs, Rebecca and her egg-daughter, lay pretty, sea-foam green eggs I was awful proud of, but now I'm gonna go sit in the coop and tell 'em I love 'em anyway. They don't need to compete with such perfection!

Dang. Thems such gorgeous eggs!

Araucanas, Ameraucanas, and Marans (both Blue Wheaten and Black Copper)

I don't have Olive Eggers that are laying yet, unlike Medicine Man.

The egg in the middle is taupe, always the biggest egg and is laid by one of my favorite EE hens.
I still stop and admire the eggs when I collect them each day. I think they're beautiful!

Oh wow! Awesome pics everyone!!!

I didnt know of such a thing as olive egger?? Those eggs are really cool looking!

I love the chocolate brown eggs my Marans lay.
I did get a very pretty egg from my Amber star who just started laying, its a large light brown colour with dark brown spots. Amazingly the egg looks exactly like her.

I'd have to say the very first eggs Henrietta (RIR) laid after her strike - were med. brown with dark brown speckles were pretty awesome (but now they are just big and brown). And Martha (EE) and Georgia (EE)'s aqua and sage eggs are a almost daily "pretty" perk.

Olive Eggers are a cross of a blue or green layer and a dark egg layer. They're those gorgeous dark olive green colored eggs in Medicine Man's photos.

There's actually a whole thread dedicated to this hybrid over in the Breeds/Genetics section. Lots of beautiful eggs.
