I posted in this forum, because I thought this would be a fun little game! I have 10 chicks from a clutch, with an assortment of breeds of hens, and 3 roosters.
Guess the breed cross and gender (and no, I don't know the answers! I had a combination of eggs, and not sure which brown ones) I will update with photos and gender updates when the chicks are old enough to be obviously sexed! (Chicks currently 8 - 10 days old)
Possible crosses-
Roosters (in order of dominance): 1 buff orpington, 1 blue ameraucana, 1 EE
Hens: buff orpington, Rhode Island white, Rhode Island Red, mottled java, black austrolorp, blue Andalusian ( definitely 1 chick), Easter egger, black americauna (definitely only 1 chick), barred rock, silver laced Wyandotte, and gold laced Wyandotte
Lots of breeds! I have my own guesses on a few...curious to see yours!
Good luck guessing
1) all black, including feet and beak
2) only 10 day old. Larger than others.
3) all gray
4)
5)
6) identical to other all grey chick
7) (already has obvious comb)
8) has a slight ginger tint. Obvious comb starting.
