S!$%! I cannot believe it, I wouldn't be too disappointed to get a couple of ducks as a bonus, not even any idea what they are, but hey're being incubated as chickens until the chicks hatch anyway. Chickens are what I want, and more to the point, paid for. Some embryos in the larger eggs do seem smaller, could these be ducks? I take it I'd better leave any non-hatched for an extra 7 days just incase? What's the humidity for ducks? Shall I keep it up between 70 and 80% like the chick egg lockdown from day 18? Is 101F too hot for ducks? Not researched duck hatching as didn't intend on them, so completely at a loss.

Also, only have one incubator, might be able to mock up a hatcher for the chicks though if I really have to. Was hoping not to.

A lot of people hatch chickens and ducks together. Most like to add the chickens a week later, but this will be better because you can bump up the humidity after the chicks hatch. The ducks like more humidity at hatching.

They probably would just because they get started slower than the chickens. Some people say don't even bother to candle duck eggs until day 10.

I reckon I might have two so. Ho-hum, ah well. Going to cost me another 85 euros to set up a seperate hatching box, getting an incubation kit and putting it into a box I get. Really not sure it's worth it to be honest.

Would be nice to see more of the hatch though...... Just don't have room in my house, or sockets left for another chicky thing, hubby'll go bananas if he comes home to find a hatching box in the bedroom. Plus, my two year old would NO WAY leave them alone. I have the incy in about the only place she can't get to already.

Yeah, I throw everything in together when they hatch. I just had two groups of guineas two weeks apart and ducks all together - what a mess! But they all did fine.
