I am just getting started, it is September and winter is around the corner, it promises to be a wet one this year so why not start a flock? HAHAHAHa
In the past I had a 32 hen flock with 3 roosters. I am looking to only have 3 to 4 hens and 0 roosters this time.

The problem I have right now, I am having a hard time finding birds to fill my coop. Any ideas?

Hello Miles, and welcome to BYC! Where in the world are you?
(You can add your location in your settings, so it shows up under your avatar to the left. It helps other members understand your situation better, if we know your climate.)
There are threads in BYC dedicated to each state or region in the US, it might be helpful to post in your state's thread to find your new birds :)

Hi Miles! :welcome

There are a few hatcheries that ship chicks through October (very limited stock). Depending on where you live, you could likely still get some of the popular heritage breeds like buff orpingtons (all hatcheries have at least a 3 chick minimum).

Here are a couple that are still shipping:

Meyer in OH has buff orps (and may be others) to ship week of Oct 11 or Oct 17:

Murray McMurray has Red Stars (sex links) available for a few Oct shipment dates (6 chick minimum):

Mt Healthy has a number of brown egg layers with availability:

Hope this is helpful! Good luck getting started! 😊
