Just Getting Started With Chickens

Hi,

I'm just getting started with chickens. Wanted to know if anyone had any tips for me? Like instead of a chicken coop could i use somthing else. I cant make things easily (not handy with tools) and all the coops around here are $300+. Also wanted to know if they get a long with rabbits? In the winter i bring my rabbits into a pen in the garage that takes up half the garage and wanted to know if they could go in with them? Thanks!!

from S. Florida! Great to have you here! You can make chicken coops out of most anything. Did you look at the coop designs in the coop section of the index? I believe that rabbits and chickens get along fine. So, try the index for some ideas. Most importantly, have fun!!

Ok, I have learned from experience not to put bunnies or rabbits in there with chickens. My friend did just that and the chickens literally attacked them! Trust me and I hope you don't have to go through that lol
