Just got a new Scovy!!!

I'm really excited

but it's hard not to think of what she's thinking right now.
She's really scared. I feel really bad for her... seems like no one has ever loved her... she is really scared to be around anyone

. The guy who caught her pulled all her tail feathers out

. I'm sure that couldn't have helped matters!
I am just keeping her in a temporary pen, right next to the coop, so that she can see the other ducks for the rest of the afternoon. I'm going to try and move her in this evening.

All I know is that the guy I got her from says she has been laying eggs...
I don't think she's that old though. Let me know what you think...
I am kinda new to Scovys, I have a younger one with a messed up neck... it eats, drinks, runs, and swims fine... just looks sad. So with that said it hasn't given me much of a "normal" experience... What's normal anyway?

Sure it is a girl? It has alot of ... Oh I know this... starts with a C... Oh whatever. It has a lot of red to me , to be a girl. Could be a drake. But it might be a girl...

Oh, the poor thing. Hope she will be okay. She looks the the muscovies we have down here that are wild. I love them, they are just the sweetest ducks. Congrats!!

YEAH! thats the word LOL. I havent had scovies before but realy want some and have wild scovies around here. So maybe someone else should give their oppinion as well . Lol
