After 7 years of begging my hubby to let me have chickens (already have a menagerie of 12 cats, 5 horses 2 steers, a dog and lots of rabbits) he finally bought me 2 black sex link pullets during the livesrock fair our kids were showing in.
Of course that's not enough! I sold off some rabbit cages and decided to convert 60 sq ft of my rabbitry into a chicken coop. When my chicks reached 5 weeks old I decided it was time for some new chicks.
I went to a different feed store to get some hay for my calves and they happened to have golden sex link pullets that we're the same age as the ones I had so I picked up 4 more. I figured a 60 sq ft coop was big enough to hold 6 hens.
Here are my "babies" I haven't finished the coop yet so they are in rabbit cages for now
