i just got my first two turkey poults

i got them from a man up the road and right now i have them in with chickens because he has all his in with chickens

So exciting I have two also they are 6 weeks old. Now trying to find out if I have a Tom or not, jus love them they are soo sweet. Good Luck!! Mine are in with ducks and they were in the bathroom with my chickens and they just loved to sleep with them. You'll hear people say because of this chicken disease out there that turkeys can get from them, that its not good to be together, but if in my experience I have seen family that have birds of all kinds together and they seem to be just fine. Have fun. I think I am having the funnest besides my pigs with these turkeys more than all the other birds but I dont show any favortism love them all!!!

Congratulations! I keep mine with chickens. I hatched them at the same time as chicks and they were in the brooder together and now don't want to split up, they are their own little gang.
I hatched a couple of poults yesterday and it just so happens that I bought some day old chicks on Sunday, they went in the with chicks and are doing fine.
I have heard that it can actually help them get a good start by being put in with chicks in the beginning.
