A neighbor raised a bunch of turkeys to sell for T'giving. Bought one. He butchered it on Friday & delivered it yesterday. I am letting the turkey rest in the cooler until ready to cook (per neighbor's instructions).

I have never had a bird that was home butchered. There are tiny black dots on the skin. Do I need to do anything with them?

I usually cook my turkey in the Reynolds cooking bag. Do I do anything different with my turkey?

Thanks

you can also use a butter knife and scrape against the growth of the pins, sometimes you can get them out this way.
