Just got the new coop ready (almost)...(w/ pics)

Sorry...been outta touch for a few days. For ventilation, I have a window in the back of the coop, about 14"x18", protected with hardware cloth. (I built a removable lexan cover to seal it in the winter) Also, there is a 3-4" gap around the entire perimeter of the roof. The walls are filled with foam sheet insulation. So far, it seems to be working great. We had a few really hot days a couple of weeks ago and I went into the coop to check it out - it was surprisingly cool inside. I think the insulation combined with the very light colored paint helps significantly. I also installed a fan inside just in case. I have a thermostat wired to a heat lamp for use in the winter if it gets too cold. The minimum temp on the thermostat is 50F but I think i can modify it to allow me to set it at a colder temperature.
