Just hatched funny eye on baby quail

Good afternoon...First time hatching quail eggs and one of the chicks has a wierd looking eye...te other eye looks normal.... Is her eye closed? or something else? Looks grey....He/she is only about 2 hours old.

HI I just went to take a photo and i'll be darned her/his eye looks normal.... I am going to guess it was closed and has now finally opened.

That’s good news Glad it’s all ok now, maybe just took a bit for it get working/moving after hatch.

Probably 'hatch gunk' on eye...have had it dry and 'glue' eyes shut, had to wipe it clear with damp cloth.

He or she is doing fine now both eyes open now I have one last egg in the incubator zipping along ways with her head at the small end of the egg ...This one I’m really worried about I believe it’s been about 18 hours of her trying to get out
