Just hatched out some quail

I've never ground up the starter and have never had a problem.
If you just go by the picture it always looks to course. The bigger
peices always seem to float to the top of the pile. But they will
scratch through it, find the smaller peices, peck the bigger ones
into smaller ones, and so on.

I don't have to worry about sterility, these all have a date with
my freezer in the near future.

Medicated feed is hard on quail, but chickens handle it better. Still I don't ever use it.
