So, just as we were starting to think our hen was a dud... look at what we found on "Easter-eve":

    A beautiful "pre-colored" egg!

^^^ It's our first "home-gathered" egg! (It's really green...the lighting makes is look tan)

^^^ For a 1st egg, it isn't much smaller then a regular one!

^^^ A little Eastery Theme (the painted eggs are actually wooden)

I'm so EXCITED!!! My little girl is a Woman! (Well... you know what I mean [IMG] )

Congratulations! We got our first egg a couple of weeks ago, and it's just so exciting. Looks like your girl did a good job, it's a lovely egg. [IMG]

No we have 3... well, currently one hen and 2 roos :| Our other hens we killed (by hawks and foxes) before we were able to build our coop [IMG]

So the last girl standing, laying her 1st egg really means a lot to us.

We're getting a bunch more hens soon, so hopefully more eggs too!

Congrats on your egg! How well do your 2 roos get along? Were they raised together?
