Just In Time Hatching Egg AUCTION and BIN Thread

8 mixed flock sizzle eggs. Bid starting at $10 with shipping at $13. I have 4 out of 6 hens laying and I have a poor quality paint silkie hen in there so you could possibly get an egg from her. I'm not sure exactly who all is laying. The paint hen has just a few black spots on her and the roo in the sizzle pen is also a paint like the hen, not many spots. They are both mostly white. They are both very nice looking birds just not many spots. The sizzles in the pen are a black pullet, splash pullet, paint sizzle hen, blue sizzle hen and a smooth silver laced blue hen. The paint sizzle hen is also like the other 2 paints, not many spots. I hatched out 4 of the splash pullets eggs mostly as a fertility check and I got 3 white and 1 blue and 2 of the white are frizzled and the blue is frizzled. So 3 out of 4 isn't bad. I'm sure the black pullet isn't laying yet. I haven't caught her in the nest or even near it.

This auction ends on sunday night at midnight and payment is expected at auctions end, please.

Here are the birds.

The 2 pics of the smooth silver laced are the same bird. The profile pic is of her when she was a pullet just to get a better view of her before she started breeding. The last 2 pics are of the paint silkie hen when she was broody. I should have gotten better pics but you can barely see a few spots on her back. I would expect white babies from the 2 white hens that have a few black spots.
I'm reposting this. These original eggs are sold but I'll have more. This auction ends Wednesday at 10PM Auction starts at $10 and shipping is $13.

We have a slithering egg theif that I found yesterday but was unable to get rid of it. It got away. If I can't get enough to be able to send at least 1 extra i'll be sending them on Tuesday unless the buyer doesn't mind just getting 8. I like to send some extras in case the PO breaks any.

Thank you for bidding Buddy

Leave a dummy egg for the snake and you will soon have no more snake.

20 Speckled Sussex Eggs

THese are hatchery quality but are wonderful birds. Among my best foragers and lay daily. THey are out and about all day in the woods looking for yummies. THe shells can be a little thinner, so I suggest a turner for these to minimize handling. THis also means they encounter other roosters occassionally--the hens run like h----- back to SS rooster who defends his harem, lol. So you could get an odd chick.THe hens are sweet and lovable and follow us when we are in the woods, too.

Because of the number of eggs, a large Priority box is necessary.

BIN until sold or eaten

I have minnow traps that I use as snake traps. I put an egg in them and the snake goes in, eats the egg and can't get back out. Unfortunately this snake is smart. i'm wondering if I have more than 1 snake because I didn't get many eggs from any pen today. My Orps don't even want to lay in their nest anymore so I reckon the snake is frequenting their pen the most. I tried the dummy egg and had no success. I've caught only 1 snake so far this summer. I've killed 3 late spring when they started coming out and hadn't seen another till I caught that one in the trap. Then this one in the orps nest that got away. It was a chicken snake but if it eats eggs or any of my poultry they have to go.

I have a flock of muscovies which are show quality (well carunckled) they are primarily black pied and white, but I got two barred girls from my last hatch. These eggs were laid yesterday and today and I will ship on Thursday.

this is one of last years babies

one of last years babies

this years baby (note barring on head) Fox got her last week and I'm heartbroken.

This is a female, one of last years babies, really nicely carunckled, but her sisters are a lot smoother, I personally like them to be as carunckled as possible, but some people like them smooth.

This is my oldest male, he's the dominant and he's smoother than his son, but he's got the barred gene.

Two of this years babies, just had to have the pied one put to sleep because of the same fox attack.

This is my oldest pair plus the drake from the first picture, last year when the baby was six months old and the parents were 18mo.

This is my oldest hen now.

Look in the Emergency posts for Help Snakes. There are some j homemade snake traps described in it. Excuse teh misspells. My pet chicken pecked my eye yesterday a dn scratched it. I am blind touch typing because holding on ly one eye open for very long is painful.
