Just In Time Hatching Egg AUCTION and BIN Thread

Don't give up just bide your time and post in other forums asking questions. In the mean time to get eggs look on FB for a local page to find out where the local swaps are. We have NE florida farm and garden swap and MIDDLEBURG swap here in NE Florida. I would suggest doing a search on FB using your county name, state, or general location with the added words farm and garden. Getting some local eggs to hatch you will get a better hatch rate and meet a lot of great local like minded people. I too had the same problem you encountered on this page and was disappointed to but kept making my posts and waiting for the 6 month period to end. Right now it really is too warm to ship eggs IMO to get a good hatch anyways. This is just meant to encourage you to stick with BYC it's a great resource and a great bunch of like minded people for the most part. :D

I haven't had any problems with egg development thus far when the eggs are bubble wrapped and packaged well. I just had 3 great hatches from shipped eggs in the last 2 weeks, another batch due to hatch on the 2nd, 3 batches that went in this weekend and 2 more batches on their way. I guess you could say that I'm a hatching junkie LOL. But in all honesty I have not had any issues with temperatures on shipped eggs.

THere is a woman I know in TX that hatches all year long with shipped eggs, and her own. I have several broodies on the job now expecting results.

My birds are doing fine. I have had several perfect or near perfect hatches with shipped turkey eggs-- better rate than my normal.

I had a great hatch today today and a few weeks ago from shipped eggs. They were sent when it was over 100' for days. Ameraucanas, Cochins, polishs, D'uccles, and Marans. Double boxing and all nicely wrapped does wonders. Trusted breeders also! :)
