Looks like I joint the BYC just in time to brag... one of my leghorns laid her first egg yesterday! So exciting!

I got some for the first time this year. They blow my mind with their laying capabilities!!! Neither one have ever missed a day of laying, and twice I've found three eggs in the nest box, meaning one hen laid twice in one day. The second egg was always obvious because the shell quality was terrible.

I am over the moon! I’m so excited for my second one to start laying. I have 2 white leghorns and 2 barred rocks. I got them 17 weeks ago, so they’re just a little older than that.
