Hi All,

We just got finished integrating our three pullets under cover of darkness into the large coop. I will be up early in the morning to see how it goes when everyone wakes up. Up until this point, they have all been free ranging together but the pullets would head into their temporary coop at dusk. I will keep you posted. :)

That's how I integrate mine-free range then put them in one night and cross my fingers. I always have two feed stations the next day to help avoid squabbles but there will be squabbles. If they are out free ranging again together I'm sure they will be fine. Keep us posted! A happy flock is a wonderful thing. I have two flocks right now because some girls just can't get it together haha

Thanks for the encouragement and I do plan to have an additional feeding station. I will give an update tomorrow. Also, I hope your two flocks can see their way clear to become one. :)

At this point I have given up. The smaller flock is run by my special needs chicken and she just doesn't need the stress. There are actually two special needs chickens in that coop. But Mama Toe (boss chicken) struggles with the ramp in my other coop so things are best the way they are for now. I hate it in the winter but not enough to watch her falling all over in the other coop lol.

Update on last night's integration. All is going well and there is minimal harassment by the big girls. Of course someone tries to peck or run after the pullets a little here and there but nothing major. So far this has been the most uneventful integration we've had.
