the hens are fighting him hes 3 months old and my 1and a half yr old hens are trying to kill him never seen that before. usually just 2 roos fighting. went out to check on the new roo and hes sleeping in the tall grass. he wont go in the coop hes scared of the hens because there beating him up hes about the same age of the young 12 pullets i have. they are ok. but the older hens are picking at his neck. feathers flying. hopefully they will settle down in a day or 2 guess i should have got a older roo. hmmm.

Oh yes, older hens can give immature cockerels a terrible time. He has to earn his place at the top of the flock.
If he's about the same size and they are not drawing blood, I'd leave him to figure it out on his own. He'll man up.
If there is any blood being drawn, you must remove him. They can kill him.

hes alone out in the fenced pasture he wont go in the coop with the hens there being mean.

He really needs to be somewhere safe (predator proof) for the nighttime. Got a spare dog kennel he can call home temporarily? Either that or catch him and lock him in the coop.
