Just Introducing Myself

Hi everyone! I'm new to ducks. My boyfriend brought home 2 babies in Sept. We have no idea what they are. Our duck is very shy and usually keeps her distance. Our Drake is very outgoing and curious. He even lets himself inside the house if the door is open. I've been reading here a while learning a lot. Finally wanted to make it official.

This is my female! Not sure what she is either or if they even are the same breed. Their personalities are so different. They really do seem to enjoy each other. We got them as ducklings together. My drake seems to protect her.

They are both beautiful! I have never seen a Rouen duck with a white neck ring, perhaps she's a mixed breed. Definitely looks at least part Rouen.

Thanks! I wasn't sure how I would feel about them when he brought them home but I really like hanging out with them. My Drake who we call Franco let himself in the house yesterday (the door was open) and actually jumped on the couch with me and made the dog move lol. My female we call Dan (we named them before we knew what they were) would never come in the house and stands by the steps calling for him to come back out. She was bigger then him when we got them. He quickly outgrew her.
In fact here is a picture of them as little fuzzies. The duck is the darker one with the yellow around her neck and the drake is the smaller lighter one. She definitely was bigger than him at first.
